The American West – A Photo Journal by Bill Dahl

This post includes a photo album of our Summer of 2017 journey around the American West. It was nearly a month long and encompassed some 5,000 miles.

The journey began in Redmond, Oregon to Boise, Idaho to Rexburg, Idaho to Swan Valley, Idaho to Alpine, Wyoming to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to Grand Teton National Park to Dubois, Wyoming to the North Platte River in Alcova, Wyoming (by Casper) to Thermopolis, Wyoming to Cody, Wyoming up the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway and over Beartooth Pass to Red Lodge Montana, back over Beartooth to Cooke City, Montana then into the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone National Park to Gardiner, MT to Cutbank, MT to East Glacier National Park (St. Mary, MT) to Whitefish, MT and West Glacier National Park – then – back home to Redmond, OR.

There are some landscape and wildlife images in this photo journal that in 35 years exploring the outdoots as a photographer, I must admit, I was awed to be confronted with. We hope you enjoy them. ALL images are copyrighted and ALL Rights Reserved.
