Feeling old???…er…
As an octogenarian, Georges Benjamin Clemenceau led France for almost the final year of World War I. He was a major contributor to the Treaty of Versailles at the Paris Peace Conference at the War’s conclusion. At 83, Tennyson wrote Crossing the Bar. Goethe finished Faust at 80. Justice Holmes served as a contributor on the U.S. Supreme Court at 90. The painting of Battle of Lepanto was finished by Titian when he was 98.
Think again… However, don’t use the above as a rationale for procrastination…
I was listening to an interview of William Shatner the other day — at 80, that old coot is doing a one man show in something like 40 cities. Made me tired just listening and I’m 45. Another reminder/slap in the face/kick to get some exercise and appreciate this body I’ve been given. (maybe….)
I saw the same interview…motivated this post….
