Here’s the link to a recent camping trip to Diamond Lake, Oregon (Reggie slept inside the tent with me as it got down to freezing at night)…

BEWARE: The bug hatch (primarily mosquitoes) is extraordinary right now. The swarms are so loud you can actually hear them. The trout are feeding on bugs and fishing is VERY slow…DO NOT believe the fishing reports posted on the Diamond Lake Lodge website…They are an exaggeration designed to bring in guests. Bring your fly pole (midges) and EXPECT to WORK for trout!!!—OMG – you should hear the lunkers jumping AFTER DARK!!! Bring bug spray and your camera – an afternoon trip to Crater Lake National Park is a great substitute for poor afternoon fishing…
