This hotel is staffed by outstanding professionals in every capacity. After extended stays here during the past 12 months – it remains THE BEST!!! General Manager Cristina, Guest Relations Manager/Concierge Extraordinaire Ramon, Front Desk Manager Patricia, and guest relations valets Eduardo, Dionisio et al…are simply the best and attentive to ALL your requirements. The staff in the Restaurant Piso & (7th floor) are superb. The housekeeping staff is excellent and kind. My wife and I have stayed in outstanding hotels around the globe – but – THIS hotel has to be our favorite.
The rooms are quite comfortable (we prefer the 5th floor rooms with the outdoor balcony looking at the Catedral Metropolitano adjacent to the hotel). The Views are marvelous. The facility is secure. It is located amidst the historical treasures of Guadalajara – where walking to spellbinding architecture, museums, the arts, markets, cathedrals and GREAT Food are all just outside the front door. The food is GREAT. Room service is excellent.WIFI is reliable and quick. Television has features to receive English language broadcasts for non-Spanish speakers.
If you need ANYTHING – World Class Guest Relations Manager Ramon is your MAN! He is distinctly knowledgeable about the area, transportation, guides, restaurants, cultural treasures that populate the area etc.etc. Ramon is a uniquely talented and very experienced hospitality professional who will address your every need. He is both honest and dependable. Count on him – we do.
I do NOT trust reviews that do not contain a few suggestions for improvement. Our suggestion is that the menu in Piso 7 for lunch and dinner requires change. It was the same during our visits in August 2018, October 2018 – and again in August 2019. The restaurant has the opportunity to provide a special for lunch and dinner on Thursday thru Saturday. They might even notify guests daily on what those culinary specials might be for the day. The room service menu needs to be revamped as well. Diversity and change in dining choices add refreshing choices for returning guests and extended stay visitors. The choices for snacks on the room service menu needs to be expanded. The hotel should seriously consider acting on this recommendation.
When in Guadalajara – you MUST treat yourself to the NH Hotel Zona Centro Historico!!! You will be very glad you did – we ALWAYS are. ENJOY!!!
