Over the past 15 years I have been fortunate to capture images of wildlife in their natural habitat. There are NO zoo, domestic or farm animals contained in this Photo album. The images were captured in the Pacific Northwest, Montana, eastern Idaho, Utah, Wyoming and Colorado – The American West. Yes – there are some trout, fly and salmon fishing images in this album. Of course – a few of Reggie and me – as well as a few sunsets.

NOTE: A number of these images have been captured in the “beyond” of the Tetons and Rockies – Grizzly bear country – DO NOT venture out into these areas ( even to “fish” or a “short hike”) without a large caliber hand gun, firearm license for that State, marine/compressed air horn, binoculars, and bear spray…there is rarely such a thing as a “close call” with a Grizzly…don’t take chances – be safe…it’s the ONLY time I EVER possess or carry a firearm. The aforementioned is not an opinion – it is by virtue of years of experience “out there.” It’s common sense. Predator images, as well as elk, mountain sheep, mountain goats, and moose – were captured using a professional L series Canon 70-200 mm USM II f2.8 telephoto lens with a 2 X Canon extender (with camera crop factor – shooting at 640 mm ) – translation: well over 100 yards away – and may have been cropped in post-production to zoom in further on the creature(s). Don’t approach wildlife – they’re wild – you’re an intruder – a potential threat – and – food. You simply cannot safely capture these images on a cell phone or with a compact digital camera in the wild. Don’t try it. Again, be safe. Be respectful of creatures where they live. I am.
