Why didn’t I do it?
What can I say?
I put it off,
To do another day.

I’m feeling ashamed.
I put it on the shelf.
Angry at them,
Disappointed in myself.

Blame doesn’t work.
Tears in my eyes.
My choices have consequences.
It’s time I realize.

Opportunities to change,
The desire to grow.
When will I learn?
Mañana mentality makes me slow.

I’m tired of this nonsense,
I’ve got a new start today.
To become all that I can be,
Mañana mentality has got to go away.
